General Guidelines for Online Form Fill-up for Admission into the B.Ed. Course

(Academic Session: 2017-2019)


Important Dates related to B.Ed. Admission, 2017:


Note: It is resolved that the dates for counselling and admission of Deputed and Fresher candidates will have to be changed due to the B.Ed. Semester-II and Semester-IV Practical and Theory papers Examinations, 2017.

Re-scheduled dates are given below:

  • Online form fill up will be continued on and form 20th April to 5th May, 2017. Now it is extended from 5th May to 10th May,2017
  • Last date of Payment (application fees)-11th May, 20 17
  • Publication of 1stMerit list - 22nd May, 2017 (At college website & college Notice Board)
  • Counselling and Admission for Deputed Candidates from first merit list - 6th June, 2017. (Reporting time: 11a.m. To 1p.m.)
  • Counselling and Admission for Fresher Candidates from first merit list - 7th June, 2017. (Reporting time: 11a.m. To 1p.m.)

ONLINE FORM FILL-UP FOR B.ED. ADMISSION, 2017 IS OVER

 


  • Duration of Course: 2 Years regular course
  • Total Number of intake Capacity = 50 Students (1 Basic Unit)
  • For Deputed candidates = 25 Seats (if seats remain vacant, it will be converted to Fresher seats with prior approval from the parent University). Govt. deputed candidates appointed through WBPSC will be eligible for direct admission to this course.
  • For Fresher candidates = 25 Seats

Eligibility:

As per NCTE regulation,2014, WBUTTEPA and Govt. of West Bengal Rules.

Candidates with at least 50 percent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences / Humanity or Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55 % marks or other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC, ST & PH. The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/PWD and other categories shall be as per rules of the State Government and parent University.

*Applicants should have valid degree (UG/PG) from any UGC recognized university of India or abroad.

Age Limit:

Age for Fresher applicants (General) should not be more than 35 years and 37 years for SC/ST and PH applicants as calculated on 1st July 2017. There is no upper age limit for deputed candidates.

Procedure of Admission : Online Basis.

Important Notes for Online Form Fill-up:

  1. All Candidates (both deputed and fresher) who have not passed taking the college offered pedagogic subject (see the List of offered Subjects) at Honours or P.G. Level may apply as pass graduates if they have any one of these pedagogic Subject as a combination or optional subject at UG level. In such cases, P.G. degrees of fresher candidates will not be considered for scoring and these Fresher candidates are requested not to enter the P.G. percentage in academic credentials part of the Form.
  2. Scoring (scoring pattern is listed below) is applied for fresher candidates and service seniority will be considered for deputed candidates for admission. Service seniority will be counted from the date of joining to till the 1st day of July, 2017.
  3. In case of University-wise reservation policy, here the applicants of all Universities in India and abroad will be treated equally.
  4. Applicants belonging to SC, ST categories other than West Bengal will be treated as General.
  5. A short Merit List as per vacancy of seats will be published at college official website (www.banipurbedcollege.org) and College office Notice Board for Counselling.
  6. Candidates who will report at the time of counselling within the stipulated reporting time (within1.00 pm) will only be considered for selection according to their academic scores (for Fresher) or service seniority (for deputed) as per vacant seats. Candidates appearing after 1 p.m. will not be entertained for reporting under any circumstances.
  7. All original testimonials with a set of  Xerox copies (self attested) and a hard copy of the online filled-up Application Form (Print out of the Form has to be submitted) must be produced at the time of counselling for verification.
  8. Applicants have not to deposit or send any hard copy of the online filled-up Form to college office (Print out of the Form) before counselling.
  9. Deputed candidates will have to submit their original M.C. resolution duly countersigned by the D.I., Service approval report by the D.I. and teaching experience certificate mentioning the classes presently teaching (from class IX to XII), issued by the H.M./ Teacher-in-Charge must be produced at the time of counselling.
  10. Entry of valid mobile number of the applicant at the time of online form fill-up is mandatory.
  11. SMS Alert will be arranged to inform the candidates for their every transaction.
  12. Candidates have to preserve the hard copy of the online filled-up form (Print out of the Form) for their further transaction at the time of counselling and admission.
  13. Reservation of seats for Persons with Disabilities i. e. PWD: The minimum disability is 40%, which will be considered for reservation. Less than 40% of disability may be treated as General.

Application Fees:

Online Application Fees: Rs. 300/- for 'General' applicants, and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PH applicants.

Admission fees (for 2 years):

Rs. 16,000/- (Without Hostel for 2 years.) or,   Rs.17000/- (With Hostel for 2 years).

Mode of Payment:

Both Application Fees and Admission Fees Payment will be accepted through ‘SBI Collect’ only.

Modes of payment are Net Banking/ATM cum Debit Card/SBI Collect generated Challan (In case of Challan formation, the Challan has to be submitted at any branch of SBI)

Step-2: Select State-West Bengal

Step-3: Select Type of Corporate/Institution *- i.e. Educational Institution

Step-4: Select Educational Institutions Name: Govt. College of Education (CTE), Banipur

Step-5 Select Application Fees for GENERAL, Rs. 300/- or Application Fees for SC/ST/PH, Rs. 250/-

Step-6 Enter Candidate's Name and other important information.

Step-7 Go for payment mode. Net Banking/ATM cum Debit Card/SBI Collect generated Challan (In case of Challan formation, the Challan has to be submitted at any branch of SBI)

Step-8 Preserve the payment document

Types of Merit-Lists for Admission in B.Ed., 2017-19:

  • Admission of Deputed Students according to service seniority.
  • Fresher candidates admission shall be made on the basis of merit. Merit list will be prepared on the following score calculating rules. (see below)

Instructions For Filling Up Academic Qualification Details:

  1. For H.S. (WBCHSE) or CBSE class XII or ISC Class XII or equivalent level, percentage of marks obtained in best of five subjects is required to enter. For H.S. old syllabus 1000 marks will be calculated.
  2. Bachelors in Engineering (B.E) or Technology (B.Tech.) with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the percentage of marks of B.E/ B. Tech. in the row of Honours Degree and percentage of marks of M.E. / M. Tech. result (if any) will be entered in the Master’s Degree row.
  3. Honours Graduates should enter the Percentage of marks of Honours subjects only in the row of Bachelor’s degree (Honours).
  4. In case of 2 years Pass graduates or 3 Years General Graduates, the percentage of total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor’s degree (General row).
  5. UG candidates having Honours percentage &50%, but the total percentage of Honours with relevant pass subjects ≥50% will be considered for scoring as Pass candidates.
  6. PG candidates having Honours percentage < 50%, but PG percentage is ≥ 50% have to enter only the Hons. Percentage at Hons row, and not to enter at Pass row.
  7. CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) needs to be converted into percentage as per rules.
